HR Consulting
for Adelaide Businesses
What outsourced HR support includes
We work as your HR function rather than as a one-off adviser. Most clients use us for a fixed number of hours each month, with the flexibility to escalate when something urgent lands.

Employment contracts and agreements
Contracts drafted or reviewed against the relevant modern award and the National Employment Standards, including casual, part-time, full-time and fixed-term arrangements.
Performance and disciplinary support
Guidance through performance management, warnings, investigations and terminations, with the documentation trail that protects you if a claim follows.

HR policies and procedures
A policy suite that matches how your business actually operates, written so managers can apply it consistently rather than filed and forgotten.
Award interpretation and compliance
Classification checks, pay rate reviews and award interpretation, which is where most small business underpayment exposure actually starts.

Recruitment and onboarding
Position descriptions, interview structure, offer documentation and a first-90-days onboarding process that reduces early turnover.

FAQ
Common questions about HR consultants in Adelaide
How much does an HR consultant cost in Adelaide?
Our outsourced HR retainers start at $499 per month for three hours of support, excluding GST. Ad hoc advice is $180 per hour and a standalone HR audit is $795. Most small businesses find a retainer works out cheaper than hourly work once they are using more than about three hours a month.
Do I need an HR consultant if I only have a few employees?
The obligations that create the most risk, correct contracts, award classification and a defensible process for performance and termination, apply from your first employee. Businesses with fewer than ten staff are often more exposed, not less, because there is no internal HR function to catch problems early.
What is the difference between an HR consultant and an HR manager?
A HR manager is a salaried employee. A HR consultant gives you the same expertise for a set number of hours each month, without the salary, on-costs or recruitment risk. Our Essential retainer at $499 per month is a fraction of the cost of an in-house appointment.
Can you help if an employee issue is already underway?
Yes. Live issues such as a performance dispute, a formal complaint or a termination you are part-way through can be picked up at $180 per hour without a retainer. Getting the process right from the point we step in matters more than what happened before it.
Do you work with businesses outside Adelaide?
We are based at Lot Fourteen in Adelaide and work with businesses across South Australia. Most HR work is done remotely, with on-site attendance where an investigation or a meeting requires it.
